Can you identify this children’s book about a doll that comes to life?
The book was about a girl who either had no siblings or no one to play with. So her mother or grandmother sewed a doll for her, and the doll came to life and became her friend. The book was an inexpensive book, with just a few pages. I read it in 1989/1990. I doubt anyone will be able to name the book, but it’s worth a shot. Thanks.
Was it Ruby Buttons and Violet Pickles? I believe the book was called “Ivy Cottage” or something similar. I loved this book when I was a kid and also had the rag dolls. Hope this helps.
